I like rum, as the title implies.

I especially like rum and *your brand of cola here if you send me some!*. I'm not gonna go back on the Ice 101, but it's good to change the pace every once in a while. Sometimes, it's just not a shot night and shots of rum are not my thing.

My former favorite flavored rum was...

Captain Morgan® Parrot Bay...   straight up..   but it hit me wrong once and it made for a night I'll never forget, in all the wrong ways.

Then I found Bacardi Limon, the light rum of the gods. As far as flavored rums go, Limon stands alone.

Bacardi Limon, the mainstay for at least two years of my early life. As you may have gathered, I usually pick a drink and stick with it. Limon and *Citrus Soda*, Limon and *Cola*, Limon straight up; next to vodka, this is my highest recommended bottle to have for emergency purposes.  You can use it with anything but milk-based mixes (gross) or serve it straight up, preferably ice cold. (That's another recurring theme. Most of the liquors I prefer stay in the freezer.)

Not too long into the Limon Era I discovered the other types of rums. Captain Morgan was finally off the hook, although I am permanently turned off by the smell of coconut in liquor or otherwise.  Parrot Bay will never happen again, but the original Captain Morgan Spiced Rum with *Premium Cola* (I really want them to send me some soda) remains a popular choice.  Easy to mix and vary for preference; a bottle of Morgan should go on your Shelf, in your Cabinet, and definitely into your emergency kit with the vodka and Limon! There are other spiced rums that could save you a buck or two, but you really do get what you pay for when it comes to liquor. Have you ever had Kappy's Vodka?
